Bio
Mirzokhid Rakhimov, Ph.D., is currently the head of the department at the Contemporary History Center of the Academy of Sciences and an adjunct professor at the Webster University branch in Tashkent.
He has held various positions in Uzbekistan and has also been assigned as a visiting scholar to several universities, including the University of Cambridge, the University of London, the University of Washington, Johns Hopkins University, Leiden University, Giessen University, Bellfield University, Passau University, Hokkaido University, Nehru Universities, CERCEC CNRS-EHESS in France, the Universities of Shanghai and Lanzhou.
His research interests are in contemporary history, international and regional relations in Central Asia. Prof. Rakhimov has authored over a hundred publications in Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Russia, the USA, South Korea, and Turkey. He has contributed to a broad range of publishers, including Brill, Routledge, Springer, Elsevier, Peter Lang, Primus Books, and Cuvillier publications, as well as journals such as the Journal of Eurasian Studies, the Cambridge Journal of Eurasian Studies, L'Europe en Formation: Journal of Studies on European Integration and Federalism, Himalayan and Central Asian Studies, among others.
