Nargis Esufbekova

Bio

Nargis Esufbekova is the head of the Development Coordination Council Secretariat (DCCS), where she supports the coordination efforts of 29 Development Partners who are members of the Development Coordination Council (DCC) working in Tajikistan. She works with Tajik government counterparts on key socio-economic development issues.

Before joining the DCC in November 2014, Mrs. Esufbekova worked for the Swiss Cooperation Office/State Secretariat for Economic Affairs in Dushanbe as the National Project Office for Economic Affairs. She covered areas such as macroeconomics, public finance management, and private sector development. Prior to this, she worked in the private sector with ECOM Agro-Industrial Corp, a Switzerland-based trade company that had a specific focus on cotton supply chain development.

Mrs. Esufbekova has extensive professional experience, including working for the Commercial Bank "Orienbank" in the corporate department and the Aga Khan Development Network and Aga Khan Humanities Project in Tajikistan. She holds an MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the UK (2006, LSE awarded a scholarship for CA students), as well as a BA in Finance and Credit from the Russian-Tajik Slavic University in Tajikistan (2004). Her research topic is the "Importance of Regional Integration through Trade."
