Tamar Kekenadze

Bio

Ms. Tamar Kekenadze is an Associate Professor of Politics and the Head of the Advanced Research and Policy Development Institute at the British University in Georgia. Additionally, she serves as the Managing Director of the CAMCA Regional Forum and is the Chairperson of the Free Democrats, an opposition liberal party in Georgia and a member of ALDE.

 

Previously, Ms. Kekenadze was the Head of the Civilian Office of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia at the Georgian Mission to NATO, and worked for five years in civil society organizations at national and international levels. From 2017 to 2021, she served as Chairperson of the CAMCA Network.

 

In 2008, Ms. Kekenadze received the "Young European of the Year" prize for her outstanding commitment to fostering international understanding and the union of Europe. Ms. Kekenadze is a fellow of the Rumsfeld Fellowship and the Stanford Leadership Academy Program.
